HamFamRadio was created from a simple idea: amateur radio should be fun, meaningful, and something families and friends can grow into together.

We believe radio is more than equipment and contacts — it’s a gateway to learning, exploration, and shared experiences. Whether it’s setting up a station in a park, building a project, or making a connection across the world, radio has a way of bringing people together like nothing else.

HamFamRadio started with family and continues to grow through friendships and shared experiences. It’s a place for people who are curious, hands-on, and excited to try something new — no matter their experience level.

At the heart of everything we do is the LEAF Program:-  Learning, Experiences, Adventure, and Family.

LEAF is the foundation that guides our approach. It encourages growth through doing, not just observing. It’s about learning new skills, creating real experiences, seeking out adventure, and sharing it all with the people around you. Whether you’re building, exploring, or simply getting on the air, LEAF helps turn moments into something more meaningful.

Sometimes we build. Sometimes we explore. Sometimes we just get on the air and see what happens. HamFamRadio exists to make amateur radio more approachable, more enjoyable, and more connected to everyday life. We’re not here to follow the traditional path.
